  • Becca started with Capital Girls League in February 2023 and is responsible for driving safer practises in the Capital Girls League having previously been in a Safeguarding role at Watford FC and the current Designated Safeguarding Officer at Middlesex FA.

  • Ken Harrington is currently the U16 Coach at Actonians and has coached the same team for six seasons. He initially stepped in as the number of girls playing began to grow significantly and there was a need for more Coaches.

“I genuinely thought that my days on the side of a football pitch were probably restricted to watching QPR, where I have been a lifelong fan and season ticket holder. I could not have been more wrong. Watching my youngest of two daughters playing and subsequently coaching the team over the last few seasons, has rekindled my love and excitement for the game as a whole.

I am passionate about football, particularly grassroots football, where it is so much more than just a game. The growth in girls and women’s football in just a few short years has been nothing short of phenomenal and it is great to be part of something so positive.

I put myself forward as part of the Capital Girls League Committee in April 2019 and subsequently took on the role of Fixtures Secretary. It’s been a steep learning curve and a challenging couple of years with COVID playing it’s part in trying to disrupt the fixture list, but, like all the members of the committee, the clubs, the coaches and the girls, I am absolutely committed to ensuring that the girls get to play football as much as is possible and ensuring that each season has a resolution. When not coaching, watching or carrying out work for the League, I am a busy Independent Financial Adviser, which I have done for the last 30 years.”
